The VC List

Raising capital takes time. We get it. It’s no secret that running a fundraising process pulls founders away from valuable momentum in building and iterating on products. For founders out there who want to be highly targeted in their outbound to investors and make the most of their time raising capital, finding the right investors can be an incredibly difficult task. Just like ourselves, there are a ton of excellent funds that fly under the radar of founders because of their size. And just like it's difficult for founders from overlooked areas or without an entrepreneurial background to find the right investors, it's also difficult for small funds to find the right founders.

We deeply understand both sides of this dilemma. Over the past few years, we've cobbled together data on 18,000+ VC funds, investors, and angels with the purpose of making both founders' and investors' lives easier. We know that there are so many funds and angels out there, and sometimes what keeps builders from raising is knowing which investors to reach out to or finding the funds flying under the radar. Today we’re launching The VC List - a public database of those 18k funds, investors, and angels.

To make it easy, you can search the VC list data based on several key data points: thesis, stage, geo, check size, etc. You can filter all 18k+ by searching any of the criteria below:

  • Firm Name

  • Firm Website

  • Firm Location

  • Firm Stages

  • Firm Sectors

  • Firm Thesis

  • Minimum Check Size

  • Maximum Check Size

  • VC or Angel Name

  • VC or Angel Personal Work Email

  • VC Title

  • VC or Angel LinkedIn

  • VC or Angel Twitter

  • VC or Angel Crunchbase

So, why did we create this? Because we've been there. We've seen the struggle from both sides of the table and wanted to do something about it. At Redbud, we spend a ton of time talking to founders who have spent hours searching for the right capital partners. We believe that by making this information accessible and public, we're not just helping individual founders and investors; we're contributing to the broader ecosystem across our own network and beyond.

We're excited to see how the VC list will be used, and the deals that will be inked as a result! Here's to making fundraising a little less daunting and a lot more efficient for everyone, both founders and investors. 🍻
